PTC Global Trek Costa Rica is an 8-day immersive journey that delves into the rich tapestry of Costa Rica's government, civics, and culture. Your journey begins in the vibrant capital city of San José, where rich history, culture, and modern energy converge. As the gateway to Costa Rica’s breathtaking landscapes, San José offers a dynamic introduction to the country’s renowned biodiversity, cuisine, and warm hospitality.

The day kicks off with an insightful field study that ties into the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). You’ll engage in discussions on sustainability efforts within Costa Rica, examining real-world applications of conservation, urban development, and social impact initiatives. Visits to museums, markets and the day ends with a cooking class.

Engage in a field study focusing on sustainability and environmental conservation within Costa Rica’s protected areas. Discussions will highlight the nation’s efforts in biodiversity preservation, eco-tourism, and sustainable agriculture as part of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Exploration of volcanoes, 

Embark on a scenic journey to Puerto Viejo de Talamanca, a vibrant coastal town on the Caribbean side of Costa Rica. Known for its Afro-Caribbean and Bribri culture, stunning beaches, and rich biodiversity, this region offers an immersive look at the country’s diverse landscapes and traditions.

Engage in a field study discussion centered on indigenous knowledge, sustainable agriculture, and environmental conservation as they relate to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This session will set the foundation for the day’s visit to the BriBri community, one of Costa Rica’s most significant indigenous groups.

Dive into today's field study discussion, focusing on social inclusion, cultural preservation, and environmental protection as part of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Today’s experiences will highlight Afro-Caribbean heritage, community empowerment, and biodiversity conservation.

On the way back, stop in Moin, Limón, a key coastal town known for its historical and economic significance as one of Costa Rica’s main ports. This stop provides a chance to explore local industry, cultural influences, and the natural beauty of the Caribbean coast.

Visit a local community center, where initiatives focus on economic development, education, and sustainability.

Enjoy a farewell breakfast together, reflecting on the experiences, connections, and insights gained throughout the journey. Take this moment to appreciate the beauty of Costa Rica one last time before heading home.
